NIGHT IN SAIGON 2025 - 2026

As the vibrant summer in Vietnam draws to a close, we follow two brothers, Nam and Bắc, as they wrap up their summer trip in Vietnam and rush to catch their flight back to the U.S. Through playful sibling banter, parental scolding, and a hectic morning routine, our story captures the warmth and chaos of a Vietnamese household.

Our story reflects the dual identity familiar to many Vietnamese Americans, an experience that deeply resonates with the Vietnamese community. Through humor and heart, it honors the community’s collective experiences and reinforces the importance of preserving tradition while embracing the paths that continue to shape them at UGA.

This year’s Night in Saigon follows the theme- The Paths We Crossed – Our story blends humor, heart, and cultural nuance to highlight the bittersweet experience of leaving home, returning home, and navigating life. It beautifully contrasts the bittersweet necessity of leaving the comfort of one home with the anticipation of returning to another, exploring the complex emotional paths crossed both literally and metaphorically as the brothers transition between worlds.
